Coloring The Kids...

From the Indigo, Rainbow and Beyond the  Indigo books, I wonder what color was my kid?

What color was I in the 1950's?

And what the heck is it all about?

What color is your kid?

The color indigo is associated with the middle eye chakra, the left eye of Horus the Egyptian god and represents abstract information, intuition and the female principle.

The left eye is controlled by the right brain. The right side of the brain (and both sides do work together when in harmony and balance) is responsible for creative, intuitive thinking, feeling, and when using the Left Eye, female energy (the yin).

What does this mean for the Indigo Child? What is their roles in the world? How can and will they affect humanity?

In the book, The Indigo Children: The New Kids have Arrived, Carol Lee, it also includes how these children are very sensitive to diet and health care.

I'll talk more about that and other Indigo kiddie stuff on  Tuesday, April 1 - 9 to 10 a.m.  PST - a continuation of my talk about The Indigo Children and ESP on radio  Kows107-3.

In my novel, The Skye in June, my main character, a precocious little red-head, naturally has dietary likes and dislikes.
 Excerpt:
Annie, sitting on the outside of the booth, repeated the birthday girl’s order.
The waitress nodded wearily, confirming it, “Yeah okay, hon. Cheese on white. Milkshake.”
June hadn’t eaten fried food or meat for the past year. She told her sisters it was bad to eat dead animals. At first her mother fretted her youngest wouldn’t grow properly without meat. But she finally accepted nothing would budge the girl’s decision, especially after June had refused the family’s favorite Friday dinner of fish and chips because it was cooked in lard made of animal fat. Besides June’s food dislikes, she had a list of noises, smells, and other things that adversely affected her senses. Her sisters would just roll their eyes and call her a kook.

San Francisco's Barbary Coast Ghostly Walk

Ready to walk into the past and through San Francisco's historical Barbary Coast? Wow! Was it wild and wicked there! I saw some gruesome activity and met a really funny spirit along the way. The historical facts after the walk confirmed much.  The show is produced by Ying Lui and The Paranormal Investigation Group. The show is from The Haunted Bay series on Youtube.  Enjoy.

In my novels, The Skye in June and also, City of Redemption, I include paranormal activity. Available through www.juneahern.com as well as Amazon.com/kindle or paperback.

A PSYCHIC READING AS ALTERNATIVE COUNSELING.

Many of my clients have benefited and healed past pains from our psychic readings.

Have you, had psychic readings that gave you nformation t help you heal past pains and make positive life changes?

In my book The Timeless Counselor (first edition titled A Professional Psychic Reading as Alternative Counseling) I've included a chapter about how psychic readings can be helpful with your therapy sessions. A reading can get to the root of your pain and advance your healing even more so.  I've had clients in psychotherapy that take the recording of our reading session to play in their therapy session to heal even further.

Excerpt from my book - a complete consumer's guide to a psychic reading: The Timeless Counselor:
People have been interested in the mysteries of the power of the mind for a long time. Human behavior has been, and still is, an interesting study. In the late 19th Century, a new type of counselor came on the horizon––psychotherapist Dr. Sigmund Freud––whose methods were based on a scientific approach to understanding the way the mind works. The new approach would in time, prove to help many that suffered from mental illnesses. The psychotherapist’s goal is to help the patient recognize what, in their subconscious mind, is preventing him/her from realizing a mental and emotional balance. A patient can be re-educated through a series of sessions with the therapist. Patients with less severe mental or emotional disorders can seek help from non-medical counselors, psychologists, clinicians, and family marriage counselors, etc.
What is the role of a successful counselor? A recent survey revealed the success of psychotherapists was based on their ability to have good rapport with their clients, to be good listeners and to show genuine care for the patient. Studies also have shown that the success of a patient’s recovery or balance was the patient herself and not based on the counselor’s abilities or educational degrees.

LOVE & LOSS & HOPE FOR LOVE: A THEME IN MY NOVELS

In both my novels The Skye in June and City of Redemption - love plays an important role: the passion of it,  the loss and pain, life dreary without love and the hope to regain it. Although very different in plot, love runs through the themes. They are not romance novels because there is so much more in them.

In "City of Redemption" the main character, Liz,  is in pain from the great loss of her husband who had been her only love since they were young teens: ' "Liz wasn’t going to let Cailean get away from her. For a couple of months they strolled in parks, holding hands and kissing or when her mother was out, spent time in her cramped apartment. Liz, at fifteen, and nineteen-year-old Cailean, fell in love. When he landed a good job, he asked her out on a proper date. Liz was thrilled when he revealed they were going to hear Ruby Murray, a popular singer, who sang one of Liz’s favorite songs, “You Are My First Love.” Theirs was a dream date come true. To Liz’s ecstatic surprise, they sat in the front row. The song’s words touched her heart. The singer sang about how she and her lover would make their love last forever. Liz believed the message was meant for her and Cailean. Later, after the excitement of it all, the young couple quietly made love in Cailean’s boardinghouse room––the first time for either of them. Nine months later, Patrick was born."  5 star reviews at Amazon.com

Cathy MacDonald isn't happy in her marriage to Jimmy MacDonald, but they have children and her religion says no divorce! Once Cathy had a love, now gone.  'The Skye in June  “I can see your future. Love beckons to you,” the woman said, motioning to Cathy’s empty teacup. The gypsy lifted the cup close to her face and circled it around from the left to the right. Her dark eyes peered at the leaves clinging inside it. The loud sounds of people and trains caused them to huddle close. Cathy heard her say something about crossing a gold bridge and love. After a moment of listening, she gave the gypsy a few coins and sent her on her way. She then hoisted her heavily packed handbag on her shoulder and bent down to pick up the suitcase. A hand reached it before she did.

“Let me help you with that,” the red-haired man in the Navy uniform said in the soft voice of a Scot from the Highlands.

“Oh! Thank you,” Cathy said, pleased at his attention.

“I’m Malcolm Macleod. And you are?” he asked.

The loud noise of trains pulling into the station drowned out her answer."

INSPIRATION: RUSTY DENNIS HAD MY BACK

Rusty and me, 1985, Pacifica, CA

Who has inspired you to venture further with your talents and abilities?

One of my greatest, supportive and inspiring persons was Rusty Dennis. A sister Gemini born May 29th.

All photos of Rusty are subject to permission to me, June Ahern to copy in any form.

Rusty Dennis aka Florence Steinberg Tullis was a student, client and friend of mine . You might remember her as the mother of Rocky whose story was portrayed in the movie, "Mask". She and  I spoke often about spirit communication. We made contact with Rocky, her youngest son's spirit, and later after her eldest son, Joshua, passed we contacted him.
Joshua and I met at Rusty's home on Mission Street in San Francisco.

When Joshua became very ill and was hospitalized Rusty and I went to visit him at SF General Hospital to give him a healing energy.  The little time we spent together I learned he was a kind and gentle man.

Rusty would have loved how popular my latest book, "How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts" has become. She was very much interested in parapsychology and paranormal subjects and a great supporter of my metaphysical and psychic work.

Rusty didn't complain. She didn't feel sorry for herself. When people would offer their sympathies for the "lost of her sons" she would say, "They're not lost. They're dead. I know where they are."

She had taken several classes from me; Beginners and Advance Tarot and ESP Development. Rusty was very advanced psychically and as a student would be considered at the top of her class - plus we had a lot of fun.

She encouraged me to bring my psychic talents and teaching skills south to Los Angeles, California where she lived. Once there, Rusty introduced me to many of her friends to set-up lectures and readings.  She truly was a gifted psychic reader.

Rusty, SF Whole Life Expo Psychic Reader
When I was scheduled to read at The Whole Life Expo SF I invited her to join me. She was nervous, not having read outside the classes. Her confidence grew as people left happy with her readings.  read too. Later in LA she invited me to be her guest lecturer where she also was giving a talk and do  readings at a psychic fair.

Rusty was one hellva woman! One tough lady and a real kick! A few times we clashed, but she was only testing me to see what she could get away with. That was Rusty! Not only were we both Geminis,  but also had a great interest in and studied the metaphysics and occult. We also both had motorcycles and a love for funky old trucks, faster cars, and younger men! LOL.

Once while I was visiting her in Los Angeles, CA we were driving to a psychic readers event in her VW bug and got into a disagreement.  It was over windblown hair. Because it was so hot and with no air conditioner in the car, I opened the window. Rusty didn't want her hair to get messed up (yes, she was quite vain) and demanded I close the window. I said, "No." She came back with "Get out the car." I said, "Pull over."

In LA there's nary a bus and we were miles from her house. "How you gonna get back to my place?"  I said, "Don't you worry about that." She laughed loudly at my retort. Yes, she liked that I was tough too. We drove on and soon were talking about other things than messy hair dos.

When I wrote my first book, she loved being a part of it. I'd pass by some thoughts and share the chapters as it came along. Below is her endorsement (first published as "A Professional Psychic Reading as Alternative Counseling)" reprinted in 2011 under the title,  The Timeless Counselor: The Best Guide to a Successful Psychic Reading:

"I have been inspired by June’s ability to awaken the awareness of many people and to train them to use their metaphysical gifts productively. Her readings and classes allowed me to recognize my own gifts and taught me how to utilize them effectively. Now I successfully do reading and healing for others. June is a loving and knowledgeable person. We could all benefit through the information she shares with us."

I know Rusty would love my latest book, How to Talk With Spirits: Mediums, Seances, Ghost Hunts.

Rusty and my son, Daniel 1986
There was always plenty of laughter, and I received great insights from her readings. Rusty liked kids. She was kinda a big kid herself.

I know you love that people remember you, Rusty, you ham! I can hear her laughing with me.

Rusty remains ALIVE! In spirit - be bold, be tough, be yourself and she was all of that to the end.

Yes, Rusty inspired me to stay adventurous, to enjoy the wild ride of life with humor and boldness.
