HEALINGS & LEARNING W/SPIRITS

                    Last week's Zoom presentation

Healing the Unsaid With the Dead

Creating a Healing for Between the

                                Living  and the Dead

In addition to what I write in my book, How To Talk With Spirits: Seances •Mediums               •Ghost Hunts, on healing relationships after the death of a loved one or anyone you had a disturbing relationship with in life, this presentation included guided meditations and hands on applications like automatic writing and focusing on a photo (pets included.)

I never know how my information will be, or not be, helpful and was happy when many attendees sent feedback within days of it.

Below are a few various responses of how healing is in process between the living and the dead and/or how people found the information.

About why I encourage you to heal with spirits before you meet them on the "others side": Besides living a more joyful, peaceful life and not walking around with a pained heart and guilty mind of I should've ...  as you heal, the spirit’s soul also heals thus new karma is created between you and with those in the physical world also.

Surprises happen during spirit communication. Just because you call on a spirit doesn’t mean that spirit will respond:

So appreciated, June. I wanted to tell you that the focus picture I had for the writing was not the person that came through the pen!! (It was the other picture, though!!) Isn't that something?!!”

We can seek assistance. Spirits can help us with present day projects. This person is an author and is presently writing another. You'll learn automatic writing includes drawing pictures and/or symbols.

"I was communicating with my grandparents who I've never met asking them for info for my book I'm writing about their lives. I drew them during the automatic wring session.(the drawings were sent to me.)" - Suzette Martinez Standring, Author.

Staying open to receiving messages from spirits is also a good way to approach communication:

“I wasn't sure who would come through the strongest; once you led us through the automatic writing, it was my dad, crystal clear. Our visit was happy; no sorrow or sadness. I saw and felt him sitting across from me and the writing brought through his New York City street slang - his healthy, happy self. He asked me to go to Ireland for him, and right after he said that, you shared on Zoom a spirit from Ireland was coming through. How cool! I was led into deep reflection, compassion, and forgiveness - death has affected much of my life, and it's taken time to heal from the losses. Your book brought up similar reflections of finding peace through pain. Thank you.”

Lock away pain and grief often comes as a surprise. Once brought forth a true healing can happen:

“I reached out to my sister's son who died three years ago at the age of 45 and discovered untapped grief that was on a deep level. It surprised me. I had felt ashamed or guilt because it seemed as if I felt so little about his death, but I had not taken or been given the space to experience my loss of him, and Thursday, I did. Thank you for the exercises and the information.”

Participants were asked to bring a photo of one or two spirits they wished to contact and were surprised by the response.

And those who just enjoy learning with an open mind:

“This session was incredible! I really feel that I got a lot of important information from you and my loved ones. I so appreciate your work and sharing your wisdom. It is such a wonderful gift! thank you.”

Very much appreciated. Although I did not need healing for the two people I chose last night, your talk was very informative and I will try the exercises you showed us. Thanks again. Peace and love.”

What have your discovered and/or experienced when a love one comes through? Were you surprised? Did the spirit’s communication stir a memory? Did you find comfort in the communication?

NASTY HARMFUL THOUGHTS IN YOUR BRAIN

We think up to 75,000 random thoughts a day. I know, with some people it's hard to believe they're even thinking but according to science from 25,000 to 75,00 thoughts flash through our brain and most are negative. Holy Moly! NASTY THOUGHTS! And scientific studies confirm what we metaphysicians have said, "Your negative thoughts poison your body."

What those crummy, harmful negative thoughts do while jogging around your brain.

Some studies say: Fear-provoking words—like poverty, illness, and death—also stimulate the brain in negative ways.  And even if these fearful thoughts are not real, other parts of your brain (like the thalamus and amygdala) react to negative fantasies as though they were actual threats occurring in the outside world. Curiously, we seem to be hardwired to worry—perhaps an artifact of old memories carried over from ancestral times when there were countless threats to our survival.

According to neuroscientists, Andrew Newberg and Mark Robert Waldman, who’ve done extensive study on the brain and wrote a book on their studies titled, Words Can Change Your Brainin 2014, negative words create traffic jams in the brain: “A single negative word can increase the activity in the fear center of the brain and release dozen of stress-producing hormones and neurotransmitters which in turn interrupts our brain’s functioning especially with regard to logic, reason and language. Angry words send alarm messages through the brain and they partially shut down the logic/reasoning centers.”

I say, DANG! All that goes on in my brain? Did you see the animated film, Inside Out? It's truly an amazing view at the brain. Check it out.

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross psychiatrist  and author of Death and Dying says: There are only two emotions: love and fear. All positive emotions come from love, all negative emotions from fear. From love flows happiness, contentment, peace, and joy. From fear comes anger, hate, anxiety and guilt. It's true that there are only two primary emotions, love and fear. But it's more accurate to say that there is only love or fear, for we cannot feel these two emotions together, at exactly the same time. They're opposites. If we're in fear, we are not in a place of love. When we're in a place of love, we cannot be in a place of fear.”

Not new revelations about jumpy negative thoughts:
Buddha showed his students how to meditate in order to tame the drunken monkeys in their minds. It’s useless to fight with the monkeys or to try to banish them from your mind because, as we all know, that which you resist persists. Instead, Buddha said, if you will spend some time each day in quiet meditation — simply calm your mind by focusing on your breathing or a simple mantra — you can, over time, tame the monkeys. They will grow more peaceful if you lovingly bring them into submission with a consistent practice of meditation.
You can reverse your thoughts. At first and sometimes later, it isn't easy so start simply by repeating a positive word (pick one): love, peace, serenity, refresh, play, laughter and you'll experience a shift if you keep on it.
Choose your thoughts wisely - speak words to encourage health and well-being. Anger and fear will wear you down, make life seem longer and eventually destroy all you wish to bring you peace and joy, love and light.

STICKS AND STONES - THE POWER OF NAME CALLING

Sticks and bones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.

The little ditty children learn  to ward off feeling badly when attacked by mean name calling.

Mikey's stupid.  Mary's an ugly, fat cow. Bobby's skeely-eyed! Suzy's so skinny she falls through cracks. You're crazy. Belong in a nut house! Tommy's worthless - a sissy, a queer, idiot, good for nothing and on and on.

Usually an audience of listers chime in becoming a chorus of cruel words. Like real sticks the blows hurt and and humiliate the minds and hearts of the prey.

Unfortunately, those negative words often stay with us into adulthood and can smart just as when we were children.

Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life. Proverbs 4:23

I'm preparing a lecture  titled,  The Power of Thoughts and Words, with a focus on how our physical bodies suffer from negative thoughts, I'm reminded to watch my words.

Words have  an strong impact upon us as they roll around our brains, taking root, creating beliefs and self-images, life choices (personally and professionally).

Do you find you're your own worst critic?  "I am so fat." "Stupid me!" (when we make a mistake). "I'll never get that job because I'm not good enough, smart enough, etc.)  "I'll never meet the right loving partner because I'm (fill in the blank).  "I'm not worthy to be loved, successful, whatever" etc. etc.

Those messages stuck in the brain's highway of electrical impulses shooting through it - through YOU, through your thoughts ulitamely creating stress and breaking down the physical body; ailments, diseases, pains.

I've been interested in how the brain works since I was a teen. I turn my thoughts inward to watch my brain's activity and feel the energy. Try it, it's amazing.

With the advancement of science in the study of the brain there is documentation through scans and imaging of the brain that words heard and spoken do need "light up" and run through various parts of the brain impacting our thoughts, emotions and physicality.

A thought enters the brain as an image, a color, symbol and/or sound. You then translate it into language, choosing a word or words to describe what you experience.

If this doesn't get your thinking and change your mind, what will?

Words Can Change Your Brain by Andrew Newberg, M.S. American neuroscientist and Director of Research at the Myrna Brind Center for Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Mark Robert Waldman, Executive MBA Faculty at Loyola Marymount University teaching the Neuro Leadership program and author of 14 books   “Words can literary change your brain. Negative words create a traffic jam in the brain. A single negative word can increase the activity in our brain’s fear center. This releases dozens of stress-producing hormones and neurotransmitters, which then interrupts our brain’s function. Angry words send alarm messages through the brain and they partially shut down the logic and reasoning centers locate in the frontal lobes. Conversely, hostile language can disrupt specific genes that play a key part in the production of neurochemicals that protect us from stress.”

Ouch! That caused my thoughts to think of the many years of thinking and speaking and listening to negative, hurtful words.

In the early 20th century Rosicrucian Max Heindel a Christian occultist, astrologer, mystic and author devoted much time and effort to ascertaining the real causes of physical and mental disorders. In his articles titled Occult Principles of Health and Healing, he writes, “In man the brain is the link between the Spirit and the outside world. He can know nothing of the outside world except through the medium of the brain. The sense organs are merely carriers to the brain of impacts from without and the brain is the instrument, which interprets and coordinates those impacts. It is known that thought breaks down and destroys nerve tissues.”

Florence Nightingale, pioneer for nursing, taught that the mental pain of the patient was equal to the physical. "It's a nurse's task to lift the spirits whenever possible."

Enlighten Your Awareness

Examine your thought and reaction. You might be surprised. Lift your spirits by consciously choosing positive words to feed your brain.

Peace, Love, Joy, Harmony, Kindness, Laughter, Play - repeat daily.

Use positive words. Look for the good. You are a creator of your life and the world's history.
