DO YOU WANT A PROTECTION SPELL?

Protection before communicating with spirits and/or ghost hunting

In my book, How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts, I let readers know the importance of how to secure your environment and self before opening up to communicating with spirits or going on a paranormal ghost investigation.

Why? The spirit you wish to communicate with might not be the one you do communicate with. Again, in my book I write how "vampire" type entities can pose as nice spirits and invade your psyche then finally your mind and body. If I hadn't experienced this myself I'd be super like 'oh yeah?'. As I have said over and over I'm a rather skeptical psychic medium.

The facts are important and for my The Haunted Bay (also in my book) youtube series the producer Ying Liu does a good job at finding available historical facts. Watch them for the many San Francisco and Calistoga investigations.

Back to protection. I learned the hard way never to forget to do a protection time before and after your paranormal work. (Read my blog about Attachments) and see this video about a ghost that followed the producer of The Haunted Bay home.

First ask yourself why are you wanting to do this? What do you wish to gain? Whom do you want to communicate with?

Set your mind to it, be clear. In my book I offer suggestions how to protect yourself and you've most likely read or heard before, surround yourself with White Light, incense (but what kind is best?), pray (I'm big on that one), and other ideas.

SPIRIT ATTACHMENT: WHEN SPIRIT COMMUNICATION GOES AWRY

Most encounters are good and upbeat. 

Now about the downside of it: Attachments of spirit energy:

My spirit and ghost stories and experiences can be found in my book How to Talk With Spirits: Séances• Mediums • Ghost Hunts. 

When my book was released in April 2017 I was inundated with invitations to speak at book  events. After reading an excerpt I would tell the group, "If the spirit moves me, I'll share." 

How a spirit attachment happened to me: Exhausted from my successful book party events I crashed and in the course of recovering found an entity attached to my body, praying on my tiredness it would have taken over me inch by inch. 

 I of all people, a seasoned medium, should have known that wasn't a good statement to make. 

Spirits come easy to me. Eager to contact living loved ones spirits lined up. Almost every guest, if not all, would receive a message. 

Like in the movie "Ghosts" where Whoopi Goldberg is burden with so many spirits waiting in line to talk to the living, that's what it's like. "Me, me, me next!"

Where did I pick the attachment up? First know that you, me, spirits and entities are all energy - energy that floats around and attracts and deflects and at times will attach to your energy.  

The attachment happened at two book parties: the first guests overwhelmed with grief and emotional created a chaotic atmosphere as they sought answer to loved ones who were victims of murder, suicide, and early unexplained children deaths. 

In the chaos my psychic energy frayed as I channeled information. 

At the next event soon after, a guest told of an evil spirit in a home during her childhood, the home her father committed suicide by hanging. I saw this dark entity and already tired psychically it engaged with me mentally and physically.  

I took a couple of months off to heal.

My massage therapist and acupuncturist are very aware how to work with me being a psychic/medium. When I went for a massage an attachment was discovered.  

As soon as she pushed on my lower back I felt and then saw a dark energy of attached and sucking energy from me, like a vampire entity. "Oh my God!" I exclaimed, "I have an attachment."

As the masseur dug deeply (ouch!) I literally felt a murky, muddy energy release from my body. 

Not entirely though, hence afterward I went to my acupuncturist where it finally dissipated after a two hour session. I refocused on self care to be free of that entity! 

It's not the first time those dark entities have tried to invade me and in the past my young son but I've always stopped them with NO!!  Get out! and I SEE you! (they don't like that) as well as some rituals. 

In my book I discuss consciously and ritualistically cleansing your energy and space when contacting spirit  and  advise to do the same after spirit/ghost communication. Also, I share an encounter with vicious vampire entities in Jamaica. 

TAKE HEED: If you open to spirit communication, take care to bless self and surroundings. Do not invite spirits to "touch you." 

Even a spirit you think is friendly or believe is a loved one might not be.

SPIRIT MESSAGES FOR HEALING & ENCOURAGEMENT

What can the living gain from messages from the dead? 

Since the release in May, 2015 of the paperback edition of my book, How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts, invitations to speak at groups continue with inspiring, lovely messages from the spirits of the dead.

Messages  that can mend relationships after death, encourage an idea to heal, and confirm one is on the right path in life.

Would you be willing to heal a broken relationship with a person who hurt you but is no longer alive? 

"High heels", said I to a woman directly across from me. "Your mother is here" S

The woman responded, "I didn't get along with my mother. I don't want to hear from her." 

I listened to the spirit, "She wants to thank you for helping her with shoes." The woman, who was between maybe a believer, maybe not, gasped. "My feet were bigger than hers so I'd break her shoes." I told her, her mother was thankful - something the woman felt her mother never was for all she had done. The woman needed time to process the message.

Would you take advice from the beyond? 

Georgie Boy. A man, older - like maybe a grandfather." A guest said, my grandfather was named George although she never heard him to referred to as Georgie Boy. I gave her the message anyway. It had to do with wind chimes that could help heal her (she had a few years of serious health issues.) The woman was uncertain if the spirit was her grandfather because of the "boy" in the name. A few days later she contacted me; her research with older relatives confirmed her grandfather was called Georgie Boy by his older sisters. She said also, "I was just been in a store when someone moved wind chimes and the sound caught my attention. It is very soothing to me. Could that type of sound have a healing quality to it?"

According to her grandfather, it does.  

Can a spirit confirm you're on the right track?

This spirit had been with me for days before the book event.

I turned to my far right to a woman to describe the spirit who'd appear to me the past few days: a lovely round faced woman with beautiful skin, dark hair sort of crimped, wavy at the side - older style hair do. The spirit wanted the woman to know she is happy the woman was keeping up her education and how well she was doing in her job. The woman was living the kind of life the spirit when alive would have loved. She offered the woman a "sweetie. A lollipop (the spirit's words)."

The woman said, "I could really relate to the message as I recently had gone back to school, graduated and got a job promotion." It new it was a grandmother who passed away 12 years ago that she had been close with. Education had been very important to her grandmother and she had always wanted her children and grandchildren to do well with it. 

Although the woman could relate to "sweetie" as her grandmother called a treat, she couldn't relate to lollipop  - not a word her grandmother used.

Later email: "After leaving you I stopped for tea and a particular dessert. They were out of it. I settled on a "cake pop", which I never had before. Later I realized it was made to look kind of like a lollipop."

Sometimes we need time to see how the messages from the spirit world fits into our lives.

I was taken aback at the excellence of GhostPlays. It tells the sad tale in six short stories about the spirits of those who died tragically in San Francisco and continue to seek answers and loved ones. "Remember me. Don't forget me," says one ghost.

GhostPlays ends today 7/30/17 after the 2 p.m. matinee. I wished it wasn't over. The acting was truly superb. My two friends and I were brought to tears a few times as the sad tales unfolded. Each play, different ghosts, shows historical places in San Francisco.

Karen Byrnes, not new to putting on stage plays, but from the comments of her fans this play is her finest play, contributes her writing the stories with the help of her brother, Bob, who passed away two years ago.

People are MOST interested in talking about spirits, ghostly happenings and are extremely curious about me as a medium. Since I started my book tours with the debut of the paperback version of "How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts, I've answered questions and listened to many spirit and ghost stories from attendees.

SPELL TO GATHER POWER FOR NEW- IT'S ONLY CHANGE.

People are always creating new possibilities  new experiences, new paths. 

When you step out and commitment to your change, that which you hope opens up a different or new life, other opportunities, you can come to realize you, not only are you changing mentally, but even within your entire being - as though your DNA is changing through this new experience. 

A few blogs ago I shared a spell I did for my new role with my Rosicrucian Order aka AMORC group to take a different role/position. Now that I'm into it, I realized how much more dedication is needed, and how not only unwilling duties but accepting that I'm rapidly changing in many ways, thus another ritual/spell was in order.

During my year as an AMORC San Francisco's monthly group leader I had to prepare a talk for the monthly meetings and do the members' ritual. It took prep work and some time.  This was all through the illness and subsequent death of my mother. It truly became a  time  to walk my talk spiritually. My duties and studies gave me a sense of stability and calmness -  much needed to get through one of the most saddest and energy consuming times of my life - the death of my beautiful, loving mother.

In my latest book, "How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts" I write about her long goodbye and our parting and what I learned about myself and her.

Now with my new role/position I find a different aspect of my duties - a greater focus and interaction with various members outside my SF group. I more energy and acceptance of my new role where other members, previously unknown to me are in contact. Therefore,  I decided to do another spell was in order. 

What I am creating now is truly a greater change. I'll say an elevated awareness of my power to influence. Kind of a more serious commitment and realizing one must be true to self if serving others kind of position.  Growing in me is a confidence that comes when you know your life is on track - one you are meant to be living. 

Perhaps you will think of opening to your power of whatever position you've taken on - realizing how it not only is shaping you, your life but those of others.

GATHER POWER

During a waxing (growing toward full) moon after sunset, light a yellow candle. Place yellow flowers in a vase with water. Place fresh ginger root next to the flowers. You might want to light incense and/or add a crystal or bowl of water (for visions). For as long as you wish sit quietly and reflect upon the beauty before you, flickering candle, breathe, relax, enjoy. 

Now think of, and connect to, your personal spiritual guardian be that an angel, guide, a loved one in spirit or a living sage/teacher who champions your progress. This could be God, All Intelligence, Buddha, Goddess, Allah. When you have decided, call upon your spiritual guardian to join you as you prepare for life changes and new experiences. 

When you have settled upon your personal guardian(s) call her/him into your sacred space by giving her/him a name(s) or title (s) - i.e. guardian angel.

Say Aloud:

I cleanse my sacred space through my 

ability to call in only positive and helpful 

spiritual guides and teachers.

I am safe.

I call in the elements of air, fire, water and earth

to support my visions yet to manifest.

I join with the power of the universe 

to expand and enhance my connection

to that which has always been

and will always be.

In the Universal flow and energy.

I open to my power in all forms

within all possibilities. 

I step forward bravely

to fulfill known and unknown karma.

willingly release old karma and identities 

that no longer serve my spiritual advancement.

Create new karma through my new

understanding of purpose and path.

With the greater good, I ask that this be done.

So Mote it Be.

And so it is.

Let the candle burn as long as you like. Dispose of the ginger root on the full moon in the earth.

I HAD A DREAM! Foretold my future. Dream Meditation Ritual

DREAM - VISION - WHERE WILL IT TAKE YOU?

Sharing a long ago dream that revealed my future plus my latest radio interview about why I wrote four books.  

 I had a dream, literally, many years ago that one day I'd share 
inspiring words and offer information for people to think beyond 
their preconceived limitations and live fully in their unique powers.

In the dream I stood on a stage encouraging others to see with their psychic eye, to developed their telepathic abilities, to believe in their intuition. But the dream was so powerful that when I awoke I recorded it on paper never knowing how, why and where it would take me.

When I had this dream I was a single mother pulling pennies together to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. To dream about being on stage talking to a big audience seemed, well, silly. What would I offer? Why would people want to hear me? Wasn't I being silly?

Since then I've written four books, two screenplays, taught many about psychic development, tarot cards and much more in the spiritual metaphysical arena. I've been invited to lecture on stage, present my experiences on TV shows and my favorite  be a guest on many radio programs! My latest radio interview link is below.

Do we always get what we set out for? No. As a Life Coach (1997) and for over forty years conducting psychic readings for people across the USA and diverse parts of the world  I've just about heard every dream and every reason why people give up on their dreams.  

Not smart enough  overly intelligent, no one gets me, I'm too different, don't fit in, too responsible for others, too old, too young, too fat, too thin, not educated enough, wrong sex, wrong color, wrong time, wrong, wrong, wrong....

It's easier to tell why you didn't accomplish what you hoped for than realize if you kept to it much will be revealed.  If you had the faith and willingness to keep an open mind during the process, taking small or big at times, steps you would/will learn more about yourself (fears and strengths) and realize opportunities come along for those who are willing to explore. 

What is your dream? Following your dream can take you many places and teach you much about your wonderful self, your very own abilities and talents, the world, places you hadn't considered to explore, people you hadn't thought were helpful, teachers, interesting.

Here's an easy meditation for staying in the glow of your hopeful heart:

Sit quietly in a space you won't be bothered by people, pets or phones. 

Place a budding flower in front of you, a white candle and a colored one (yellow is inspiring, red is motivating, blue is encouraging and so forth). You can add an image of what you are ready to accomplish by placing it front of you. And/or place a mirror to gaze into your eyes (at a height that is comfortable to do so).

Now, relax - take a breather - slow nice rhythmic breathing, shake away the day, mentally see your dream, your wish, your goal as clearly as you can and/or look at your image.

Say Aloud:

My heart is full of hope

My mind is clear

My soul is inspired

My spirit creates

I manifest my vision

With faith as I walk the path

ready for whatever and whomever

I meet on it to be part of my journey

to realize my vision.

As it takes form, 

I take form, transcedning

challenges, transforming

to my true self.

May this or something

better happen in my life.

So Mote it be.

 Stay a while, enjoy the flickering candle flame. Snuff the candle out before you leave your special space. Let the flower open in the days to come. When it has reached its zenith and petals drop return it to the earth or place in a moving body of water. 

You can repeat this two more times, but don't look back. Meaning, don't dwell upon when will this manifest? How? Who? And all those I have to hang on to making it happen. Just take steps forward, do what you can to manifest it and keep the faith.
