SEEING - BELIEVING - VISION BOARD HOW TO

ENVISION IT

BUILD IT

ENJOY IT

A VISION BOARD

Seeing is believing. According to scientific studies we dream and think in images, pictures (still or moving), colors, symbols and sounds. Then translate them into words to make sense of them and more often than not, share them in hopes others get it.

When coaching clients tell me what they want I ask "How does that look to you?", "How will your life be different once you have attained it?" In other words, can they clearly see themselves living a life they hope for?

I don't want your inspiring dreams to fade away and you lose trust in your unique thoughts so I offer this method for bringing your dreams, wishes and goals to life - a vision board (see how to create one see further below.)

Vision boards are inspiring and gives a physical view of your wishes and dreams. It is a picture of you and the journey to discover more in life.

Over the years, time has proved how effective my visions boards have been to  successful manifestations of what, at one time,  had only been a hope, a dream. They've helped keep me focused with faith as well as gauge progress.

1998- 1999 - My first in greater detail told of how I wanted my writings to give promise, open new professional doors for me. My first book, a non-fiction started that process of publishing. In '06 my first novel proved to be successfully  received. I also wanted to travel more so and have. Upper right knew it was time to return to Scotland to visit family and did. My latest one '16 is below.

ARE YOU IN?

Also, to assist you in connecting a vision to a tangible goal enjoy a guided imagery meditation -  Meditation Room, www.sfcoaching.com)

Fun to create: Prepare to give life to your wishes and dreams. Enjoy gathering  some or all of these items:
• Begin with a blank canvas (poster board or large piece of paper)
• Magazines, photos of yourself and maybe others (you can copy originals)
• Crayons, colored pencils, paints, pen or pencil
• Journal or notebook
• Glue, paste, Scotch tape or a stapler (keep those images on that canvas)
• Scissors
• Stickers and whatever else you want to paste, draw, paint and/or staple onto your vision board.

Once you've gathered the materials begin your journey by writing about your wishes and dreams as clearly and simply (bottom line it!) as you can so you can see in words your intentions. Doing so connects your thoughts to the physical world. Keeping those only in the mind doesn't give them true form.

Now: begin to cut, color, draw and add whatever you gathered to the blank canvas and watch your story unfold. This is your expression, your creation, a living image of you, your plans, your hopes, and goals.

A Simpler Method: My first vision board was an easy - draw and color a source where you believe your visions are supported from at the top of the paper. Draw different colors, like strings, from the source to what you want to manifest, make sure to write what that is.
When your vision board is completed (it might takes days or more) place your creation in an area where you can view it often. Meditate upon it - seeing all the images, colors and symbols inspire you to manifest a life you desire.

Please let me know how this works for you. Wishing you fulfillment and success!

In this vision board, '16 I was professionally slowing down. Most of you I've had a very successful career as a psychic medium, but needed some changes.  I was ready for new adventures professionally and personally - more time with my horse, maybe ride again, travel, and discover "firsts". All continues to manifest.

NASTY HARMFUL THOUGHTS IN YOUR BRAIN

We think up to 75,000 random thoughts a day. I know, with some people it's hard to believe they're even thinking but according to science from 25,000 to 75,00 thoughts flash through our brain and most are negative. Holy Moly! NASTY THOUGHTS! And scientific studies confirm what we metaphysicians have said, "Your negative thoughts poison your body."

What those crummy, harmful negative thoughts do while jogging around your brain.

Some studies say: Fear-provoking words—like poverty, illness, and death—also stimulate the brain in negative ways.  And even if these fearful thoughts are not real, other parts of your brain (like the thalamus and amygdala) react to negative fantasies as though they were actual threats occurring in the outside world. Curiously, we seem to be hardwired to worry—perhaps an artifact of old memories carried over from ancestral times when there were countless threats to our survival.

According to neuroscientists, Andrew Newberg and Mark Robert Waldman, who’ve done extensive study on the brain and wrote a book on their studies titled, Words Can Change Your Brainin 2014, negative words create traffic jams in the brain: “A single negative word can increase the activity in the fear center of the brain and release dozen of stress-producing hormones and neurotransmitters which in turn interrupts our brain’s functioning especially with regard to logic, reason and language. Angry words send alarm messages through the brain and they partially shut down the logic/reasoning centers.”

I say, DANG! All that goes on in my brain? Did you see the animated film, Inside Out? It's truly an amazing view at the brain. Check it out.

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross psychiatrist  and author of Death and Dying says: There are only two emotions: love and fear. All positive emotions come from love, all negative emotions from fear. From love flows happiness, contentment, peace, and joy. From fear comes anger, hate, anxiety and guilt. It's true that there are only two primary emotions, love and fear. But it's more accurate to say that there is only love or fear, for we cannot feel these two emotions together, at exactly the same time. They're opposites. If we're in fear, we are not in a place of love. When we're in a place of love, we cannot be in a place of fear.”

Not new revelations about jumpy negative thoughts:
Buddha showed his students how to meditate in order to tame the drunken monkeys in their minds. It’s useless to fight with the monkeys or to try to banish them from your mind because, as we all know, that which you resist persists. Instead, Buddha said, if you will spend some time each day in quiet meditation — simply calm your mind by focusing on your breathing or a simple mantra — you can, over time, tame the monkeys. They will grow more peaceful if you lovingly bring them into submission with a consistent practice of meditation.
You can reverse your thoughts. At first and sometimes later, it isn't easy so start simply by repeating a positive word (pick one): love, peace, serenity, refresh, play, laughter and you'll experience a shift if you keep on it.
Choose your thoughts wisely - speak words to encourage health and well-being. Anger and fear will wear you down, make life seem longer and eventually destroy all you wish to bring you peace and joy, love and light.

Nice when science validates metaphysical studies:

Published in Frontiers in Psychiatry, the study was the brainchild of Dr. Nian-Sheng, an acting clinical at Tzeng, a psychiatrist at Tri-Service General Hospital in Taipei told ScienceDaily that he began the research after noticing a pattern, “I observed that some patients with the three A’s - asthma, allergies, and atopic dermatitis (eczema) appeared to suffer emotionally." ABOUT THE STORYJune MacDonald's fate is sealed the day she is born when her mother defies her husband by not naming their new daughter after a Catholic saint, as is their tradition. No one can foresee that June will grow up to threaten the family by revealing her mother's secret past in the Scottish Highlands. After a tragedy the Scottish MacDonalds emigrate to San Francisco in hopes for a new start. There, young June begins to have visions that haunt her mother. Her rigid and abusive father will not tolerate them. That doesn't stop the feisty girl. Her three sisters try to protect their little sister from their father's wrath with often hilarious tactics. The family is on the brink of imploding when June and her sisters come of age in the 1960's Haight Ashbury scene. Their father's declaration seems to be coming true: "Doomed to hell, every last one of you." In order to save June her mother must stand up to her husband. This poignant mother daughter story is about of how family changes over time and addresses the issues immigrants face in their new country. It's a story of acceptance and reconciliation and the world of mysticism. A book for the young and older readers.

HOW THE STORY CAME TO BE: My mother's love of books and her great imagination for storytelling inspired me to write "The Skye in June." It's a tribute to my mother and five zany sisters. In it I share some of our history as Scottish immigrants and coming of age during the 1960's in San Francisco. It began as a screenplay because that's how it unfolded for me as I saw characters, felt moods and heard their conversations. Especially enjoyable was the sisters' discussions, which at times was rather hilarious. Before putting it on paper, I'd speak aloud each one's words. My husband finally stopped asking if I was talking to him or "the MacDonalds" (or whomever was being created).

Because my protagonist and I share the same first name I've been asked if it's an autobiography. Some situations and events did occur but the majority of the story is my imagination hence a rather thinly veiled autobiography set in a fictional framework. Why did I call my protagonist June? Fact: Against my father's wishes my mother named me June, a name my father declared was a "heathen name" and not a saint's. I don't believe I'll be the first Saint June.

ABOUT ME: June Ahern to date has authored four books; two novels "The Skye in June."and "City of Redemption." and two non-fictions, "How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts" and "The Timeless Counselor: The Best Guide to a Psychic Reading" which was the best selling book of a new author at the 1991 Whole Life NY Expo. Like her main characters, June was born in Glasgow Scotland before immigrating to San Francisco.

METAPHYSICS & SCIENCE

Do negative thoughts and words poison

the mind and eat away at the very heart

of every cell in your body?

According to metaphysicians,  H. Spencer Lewis and Max Heindel ,and  Neuroscientists, Newberg and Waldon, in their 2014,  yes is the answer.

Good News: All of them agree that we can change how we think through positive affirmations and other techniques for changing negative thoughts.

“It is a metaphysical fact that for each minute of time we spend in thoughts of unfavorable impressions, unkind criticism, or hate toward any person, there will be hours of physical and mental suffering as a reaction. …….. Discover what thoughts, attitudes, and conditions of mind you have held or expressed, and immediately eliminate this attitude by reversing your opinions, thoughts, and holding thoughts of love and kindness instead.”- H. Spencer Lewis, the prominent Rosicrucian author, occultist, and mystic, who established the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC in the Americas in the early 20th century.

What do you think about these thoughts and beliefs?

As a psychic/medium for over 45 years I know how much people retain in their minds fears, hopes, past painful memories good times, things that haven't even happened -  leading to ill health, unhappiness and thus negative life experiences.

I developed a mini workshop in contemplation of this quote - and there's much more in it about what happens to our all over health when thinking and speaking hurtful words, whether that be about the present (a real challenge, isn't it not to?); the future (will we survive this crazy times) and as well as the past hurts - the scenarios played over and over.

The FREE workshop will be held in California USA:  Santa Rosa, April 3rd, 8 p.m.Scottish Rite Center and San Francisco,  April 28, 1:30 p.m. 3rd Ave (entrance) & Irving Street. Please join us. Refreshments too!

Louise Hay has a lovely set of positive affirmations in her book, "You Can Heal Your Life" and also in small cards, which I continue to use.

I've been a Rosicrucian since 1997, authored four books and taught classes in metaphysical and parapsychology for many since 1980. Please review more about me and my books: www.juneahern.com and my workshop classes www.sfcoaching.com

Flower power ignites into fire power when Liz MacKay, a lonely young woman, entangles herself in a treacherous plot and murder during the Summer of Love. City of Redemption tells of the dark underbelly of the '60's. It is a vividly recounted suspenseful story where lies, betrayal, sex, drugs and murder lead to a woman's imprisonment.

It began as a screenplay written for a Scottish actress who requested it, takes you on a real view trip of a most important political and social changing time in history - the rebellious 1960s.

Black Panthers; love lost, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll and MURDER, betrayal and redemption.

Enjoy!

HOW THE CARDS SPEAK - PART TWO

I was contacted to give an example of how the tarot cards combine with coaching to attain goals, hence part part two of my precious blog.

Major Arcana's 22 cards' images and symbols are studied in depth. Handouts of a short description and an affirmation for each card are provided.

I use the Rider/Waite deck:

0: The Fool starts the journey  (far left): It represents the first breath, prana, spirit awakening to a dream, vision or idea. Creating new karma. All the power that ever was or will be is here now.  Are you foolish to dream you could have that something in your life? Or, as the fools of old by in court, will you amuse the king and queen and be handsomely rewarded for your ingenious, creative acts making  you the winning fool?

Coaching starts with asking:
What do you want differently in your life? What idea or dream do you want to bring into form?

Affirmations support and advance your success.

The Fool: There is nothing to fear.

Next step #1 The Magician. Short definition: As above so below. As below so above. All magic is in the will to dare. Name your idea:  (I want a new job; I'm ready for a loving relationship. I want to make more money. etc) The tools to build your idea sit before you. Which tool will you choose? (see the table with the sword, cup, pentacle and wand, each has a specific meaning to how we manifest ideas)

Coaching: Will you say yes to manifesting it? What do you need to do that?

Affirmation:  As I say yes to life, life says yes to me.

The High Priestess follows and she is deep in thought of why, how and what is next.

The World is the culmination of the cards' steps.
What do you think that message is?

Each card truly is a step one takes throughout life when creating and working toward attaining something be that an enfoldment of spiritual awareness, a relationship, job, travel, new home, education etc.
