ABRACADABRA! OPEN! FUN RITUAL

Abracadabra!! The magic word to open doors!

Doors leading to riches. You enter into a place and time where your wish, wants and dreams are seen.

Most have heard or even spoken the word abracadabra and think magic happens when you do.

At this New Year time you can open new doors to create and manifest your magic - your dreams and visions (ritual below) that fulfill you, make you feel happy and successful. Please know you can do this ritual/spell at any time you're ready to open the doors to new enlightenments, adventures and opportunities.

The word abracadabra is indeed a magical one. It has several thoughts of origin: Aramaic:  "I create as I speak"

Avra kedabra" means "Creating as speaking" a thought in reference to God creating the universe by speaking. Alternative spelling, avda K'Davarah - "I transgress as I speak."

Other thoughts; from the Semitic languages and Hebrew [A]bracadabra as an abbreviated forms of the Hebrew words Ab (Father), Ben (Son) and Ruach A Cadsch (Holy Spirit).

No one can say for sure. (more about abracadabra http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abracadabra)

What we do know - it's a fun, magical and powerful word. Experiment with it - say aloud three times, close your eyes to see what thoughts, visions, and/or feelings come to you.

It can be used in a New Year Vision and Ritual:

Gather paper and pen, a fire safe container, matches or lighter, a candle (color of your choice), an article you are willing to give or throw away and a place to sit undisturbed.

Start with making room for new.

RELEASE:
Goodbye 2014 (or whatever year is ending)! What do you wish to put aside, let go off, stamp "done"?
It can be a habit physical or metal - a way of thinking. An action that brings no positive rewards/results (drama, apathy etc)? An emotion hurting you over and over.  Maybe a person or thing taking up space.

Light your candle, and write make a list of what you are leaving behind (not taking into The New Year.)

When complete say aloud, "I willing release (read the list)" Then say, "Amen" or "So Mote it Be" (somewhat like amen, more as "That's the truth"), fire up that list - light it from the candle and burn it in your fire safe container.

Take the object you are giving or throwing away and say, "I release all and any unnecessary things and/or persons that no longer constitute positive growth for me." Place it by the front door (to be gone soon) or in the garbage bin.

                                                             NEW BEGINNINGS

Now sit quietly in your space, breathe deeply (glad to be free of) and relax, watch your candle flame flicker or close your eyes.

Image you are standing at a door, closed or slightly ajar.

When you are ready, say aloud, "ABRACADABRA! OPEN!" 3 x imagine the door opens, perhaps you see someone or something on the other side or not, next step through the door...imagine your dreams, wishes and visions manifest in front of your mind's eye. Do not discount what you see, do not judge or fear what you see and/or hear - just for a moment, keep an open heart and mind.

When you are finished you may write what you saw, thought, felt and experienced, nothing is too small or big.

COMPLETION OF RITUAL:

Snuff out the candle. Within a few days take the ashes from your release list to bury or throw it in a moving body of water. Place the paper with what you experienced through the door where you can readily access throughout the New Year as a reminder you are growing and changing to be more truly who you are.

HAPPY, HEALTHY,  PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!

JOLLY GOOD MAGICAL WORD!

I like words. Words are powerful. They hold energy!

Words magically create a vision, provoke an emotion and motivate a thought.

When I find a word of interest in a book or hearing it, I roll it around my tongue silently, trying it out, whisper it into a silent room raising my voice my voice until it's spoken aloud, and as mother always advised, 'Don't use a word if you do not know it's meaning or how to spell it."

Jolly caught my attention a couple of years ago. Not that I didn't know it, just didn't use. Seemed so silly to say,  "I'm having such a JOLLY good time!" until I played with the word.

Silly, jolly ol' me giggling away in different languages and tones, "I'm having such a jolly good time!"

Jolly: Full of humor; exhibiting or occasioning happiness or mirth; cheerful! To amuse oneself with humorous banter.

A magical image of ho ho ho belly laugh, silly giggly kids...

Enjoyed the word so much I gave it to Liz MacKay, my main character in my novel, City of Redemption   (A Novel about when Flower Power Explodes into Fire Power)

Liz is a lonely young woman, hiding her sorrowful past. When asked why she came to San Francisco (during the Summer of Love) she quips, “I guess like all the rest that come to San Francisco…just tripping around.”
“Ain't we all just tripping.” Toni waited a second before asking, “Nothing else interest you here?”
“Nope. Just a jolly good time!” Liz said with finality.

Seemed so right for the lying Scot to please her inquisitor.

Choose your words carefully when you are creating your future experiences, attracting relationships and fulfilling goals.

How you speak reflects your intent of purpose, your confidence and clarity of your creations. When writing and speaking affirmations, prayers and spells use words in a short sentence to show you are powerful and clear about your intentions. Say aloud three times each sentence to experience where the power is for you.

"I'm becoming jolly."    or     "I am jolly!"

Which held a greater sense of being in the present?

More on words next blog as preparation for a New Year 2015.

Have a Jolly Good Holiday Time even for a moment of life.

My prayers each day go to all in our world living in sadness, fear and disharmony.

FREE KINDLE - CITY OF REDEMPTION, A NOVEL. MURDER IN SUMMER OF LOVE

City of Redemption, a Novel

FREE KINDLE 12/7/14 to 12/10/14

Flower power ignites into firepower when Liz MacKay, a lonely young woman,

entangles herself in a treacherous plot and murder during the Summer of Love.

“City of Redemption” is a vividly recounted story of lies, betrayal, sex, drugs and murder takes place during an unforgettable time and place in history, Summer of Love.

Ms. Ahern shares her time and experience, what she saw, heard and took part in during 1967 rebellious times.

“City of Redemption” is a vividly recounted story of lies, betrayal, sex, drugs, seeking love, and murder takes place during an unforgettable time and place in history.

It is 1984 and Liz waits to be paroled for the murder of former roommate, Ricky Martinez.

Is she guilty? Liz says yes. Her attorney, Toni Bordeaux, hotly disagrees and tells Liz she has paid her debt!

In 1967, partly to blame for her young son's death and abandoned by her husband,
Liz leaves Scotland in disgrace, hoping for a second chance at love and life.

She arrives in San Francisco during the Summer of Love to have a "jolly good time" with the free loving groovy people. She soon joins a commune. Her new family is a curious mix: Black Panthers Toni and her boyfriend, Bobby, trying to change the world, Sam, a Vietnam vet, seeking inner peace, a kindhearted, flamboyant hairdresser, Mason, ready for fame and love, a flower child named Cat, and her callous drug dealing boyfriend, Ricky, who loves his girlfriends then quickly tosses them aside.
At first, Liz is happy to have found a welcoming home, but as her new roommates pry into her mysterious past Liz's search for a "jolly good time" brings more grief and a worsening drug addiction. She becomes unwittingly embroiled in a plot to bring down the Black Panthers and sees saving her Panther Toni as a way to redeem herself for her part in her son's death. Sharing the plot to another roommate, she is told, "Keep your mouth shut." In a moment of passion, she seizes the chance to save her roommate. But can she save her friends or will she just watch her commune family break
apart? No one expects anything heroic from Liz, especially Ricky.

Ms. Ahern's novels receive overwhelming positive five star reviews on Amazon US, UK, France, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble and her website.

HAIGHT/ASHBURY - THE EARLY BLOOM

My first novel, The Skye in June is a winter cozy read.
A story capturing San Francisco's history during the 1950's and 1960s days of  changing environs

In it, you'll walk through the city's streets  -- down into the valley community happenings and up the many hills to homes and neighbors.

Photo WolfGangsVault
Visit the Haight Ashbury before the "hippy take over" when the neighborhood was realizing an emergence of the young hip beat crowd of artists and. musicians. Where the roar of Harley Davidson motorcyclists in their colors roared through the Haight.

San Francisco was in the beginning of a big change and the MacDonald girls in "Skye" were part of it. Which one thrived the most during this time of the four girls?

The Skye in June has about 700  overwhelming positive reviews on Amazon US, UK and France, and Japan -  translated into  Japanese, Goodreads.com, Barns and Noble, in Comments on june ahern website, ebook on Smashwords.com. Paperback and eBook. Purchase directly from the author, June, for a personally autographed copy: email june@sfcoaching.com.

Excerpt
Chapter
THE DEVIL PASSED THROUGH - 1964

THE COLD SIDEWALK chilled June and Mary’s bums as they sat on the curb waiting for the 33 Ashbury bus. The day had been pleasantly warm for late March, until the sun dipped behind the trees in Golden Gate Park and the ocean fog spread a chill through the Panhandle and up to Haight Street.Mary tucked the extra material from her bellbottom pants around her legs to keep the wind from shooting up them. June sat on her large black leather purse that held her schoolbooks. The short skirt of her Catholic school uniform (which, in the opinion of the nuns, was too short) did not protect her shivering white legs from the cold. No matter how nippy the days could become, the two never let the capricious San Francisco weather discourage their trips to the Haight. It was a fun time there. They met up with the young, hip people moving into the area who were bringing a whole new scene to the city. The mood of the Haight-Ashbury was rebellious with long haired young men playing harmonicas and writing poetry and tough Harley-Davidson motorcyclists cruising the street, some with Hell’s Angels emblazed across the back of their leather jackets. The scene was a much-needed relief from the girls’ restricted life. At home the sisters didn’t talk openly about their jaunts, knowing the problems it would produce.  (Cont'd)

TELL YOUR STORY - THE FUTURE WANTS IT.

                                             BE A STORYTELLER
I LOVE TO TELL A STORY, DON'T YOU?

http://www.facerockproductions.com/story_tellinggrandma.php

Your life holds an interest to family now and in the future. Future generations will enjoy learning about how life was "back in the day" (when you lived) and some most likely identify themselves with you.

Leave your legacy

I recommend you journal about your life as a youngster, young to middle-aged adult and when the time comes, a senior. Tell about your first memory, how you felt going to school, about what you liked, were good at, not so good at and talk about your health. It's good to know what makes up our ancestors, body, mind, heart and spirit.

In time to come when I no longer walk this earth those of my future family will know some facts about me. I'm an author of four books. Each hold a piece of my personal values and outlook of life at various stages. In them I share my life history, even when viewed without a fictional story. My paranormal and parapsychology books will reveal my psychic life as a professional readers and medium: the joys, wins and tribulations, my work with the police and meeting ghosts and spirits.

My first book, a consumer's guide, non-fiction "The Timeless Counselor: The Best Guide to a Successful Psychic Reading", opened up doors to a different level professionally. I was on the TV show, "People Are Talking" as well as many a radio talk interview.  The other non-fiction is the a popular glimpse into the paranormal world, "How to Talk with Spirits: Seances, Medium, Ghost Hunts." Many of my personal experiences with spirits and ghosts are told in it and historical buildings events validated when records could be found. Learn more about San Francisco's past!

In the future there might be a child born into my family who has psychic abilities like me and my words can guide and comfort her/his grandmother, great-mother etc was as she/he is. My family can also enjoy seeing me live as I ghost investigate (Youtube -- if it's around) The Haunted Bay and Beyond.

My first novel, "The Skye in June" is about a psychic child, a little girl, and the challenges she must face. It also includes history about Glasgow, Scotland and being an immigrant. San Francisco during the 1950's and early days of the changing environs in the '60's. My heritage of born in Scotland, raised in San Francisco will learn about society at that time.

A goal is "The Skye in June" will become an audio book before I depart this planet. Many readers have asked for it. They want to hear the Scottish burr, enjoy the slang of the '50's, learn about San Francisco's "The Castro" before it was coined so. Do you know the proper name of that district? The famous store in that area? It's all in the story. The movie theater still thriving where most the neighborhood children spent on Saturdays? On Amazon.com you can read a sample of the book.

My second novel, "City of Redemption", also opens in Glasgow, Scotland 1966 before moving onto groovy San Francisco, 1967.  I wrote it as a screenplay for a Scottish actress I met in Hollywood (yes, actually that part of L.A. area). Afterward, I created a novel from the screenplay. The dark underbelly of the Summer of Love is exposed with Blank Panthers, sex, murder, and rock n' roll, of course! This too is a historical fiction and my future generation relatives will see how life was for me as a young woman growing up in  at that time. As I say, I was a product of my environment. Let the future family decide what they means for themselves.

What about you? What history of your life will you leave your future family? You can print a few copies or leave an ebook. It will become part of your legacy.

Take time to start your personal history book for telling your story has meaning.
